Theotokos: By the light of the Light-Bearer of the Word, Thou didst conceive,

Let every ear be astonished,
how the will of the One on high
came down to earth,
shattering the strongholds of hell
by His command and burial,
and raising up all to call:
O ye hosts, bless; O ye saints, sing;
ye people, exalt Him for ever.

Cease, O adversary, thy tormenting,
And let the kingdom be utterly destroyed,
For upon the cross having raised thyself on earth,
O Lord above all,
Thy power thou hast cast down.
Blessed are His angels, praising Him,
Holy virgins glorify Him,
People exalt Him for evermore.

O Soul/Spirit of Christ, Thou Who hast not spoken the unspeakable love of Thy Humanity, and hast revealed ineffable blessings! For I have seen one perishing in the darkness of hell's prison, and by Thine own sufferings Thou didst deliver him. Therefore we bless Thee, O Master, and exalt Thee for all ages.

Enrobed in glory as with a robe, when Thou hast enlightened Thy Bride with the dawn of Thy light, / Thee Thou didst place on high, O Lord, above all ages: / Whom Thou exalteth upon high for ever and ever.

And by Thy will, having united the world in peace,
Thou didst take Thy holy Body from the Virgin,
to raise it above this world, desiring to give it to us:
and we exalt Him in all ages.

Bless, O Lord, Thee and Thy Mother and our God Jesus Christ.
Счета́нїемъ сло́ва ко мнѣ̀ человѣ́кꙋ, / бж҃е́ственное жили́ще была̀ є҆сѝ пречⷭ҇таѧ, / просїѧ́вши ꙗ҆́вѣ дв҃ства свѣ́тлостїю: / тѣ́мже тѧ̀ пое́мъ во всѧ̑ вѣ́ки.
By counting the word to man, / Godhead abode a tabernacle was it, / having shone forth in the depths of two lights: / wherefore I sing thee for all ages.
И҆ ны́нѣ и҆ при́снѡ и҆ во вѣ́ки вѣкѡ́въ. а҆ми́нь.
And now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Златоза́рный тѧ̀ свѣ́щникъ предвоѡбразѝ, / прїе́мшꙋю несказа́ннѡ свѣ́тъ непристꙋ́пный, / ра́зꙋмомъ свои́мъ ѡ҆зарѧ́ющъ всѧ́чєскаѧ. / тѣ́мже тѧ̀ пое́мъ чⷭ҇таѧ, во вѣ́ки.
Golden-crowned sacred priest before the image,
Receiving unspeakable light inaccessible,
Illumining all by thy understanding.
Therefore we praise thee, for ever.

Therefore: We glorify Thee, we bless Thee, we kneel to Thee, O Lord, singing and uplifting Thee for evermore.

O Soul/Spirit of God, in the cave / resounds the joy of the Theotokos, / then do we portray: / now perform its deed, / raising up all the universe to sing to Thee: / O Lord, praise His works, / and exalt Him for ever.
Та́же, пое́мъ пѣ́снь бцⷣы: Вели́читъ дꙋша̀ моѧ̀ гдⷭ҇а: съ припѣ́вомъ: Чⷭ҇тнѣ́йшꙋю херꙋв‡мъ:
Therefore, let us sing the psalm of the Theotokos: My soul doth magnify the Lord: with the refrain: More to be desired than fine gold.
