God-accusers now have made envy,

Heavenly One of the Circle did not cease, / and entered hades, lifting up altogether / lying in filthiness O Man of God, / exalting thee for evermore.

Let every ear be astonished,
how the heavenly will has come down upon the earth,
breaking the strong hold of hell through death and burial,
and raising up to call:
Angels bless, holy virgins sing,
people exalt Him for all ages.

Cease, O Adversary, thy tormenting,
And let the kingdom be utterly destroyed,
For upon the waters thou didst raise thyself,
O Lord, above all;

Blessed are his angels who praise him,

And ye people, extol him for ever.

O Thou, Who ineffably lovedst the human race in Thine Incarnation, and revealedst unspeakable blessings! For I have seen one perishing in the dark pit of hell, and by Thy sufferings Thou hast delivered him. Therefore we bless Thee, O Master, and exalt Thee for all ages.

Enrobed in glory as the King thy Theotokos did enlighten thee with the dawn of her light,

By Thy will alone, having reconciled the world,
Thou didst take up this flesh from the womb,
And to raise it above this world Thou didst desire:
Wherewith Thou dost exalt us in all ages.

By the counting of words to man, O God, Thy holy dwelling was made manifest,
prostrating itself in the darkness with the light of twofold brightness:
therefore I praise Thee for ever and ever.

Golden-crowned sacred priest before the image,
Receiving unspeakable light inaccessible,
Illumining all created things with thy mind.
Therefore we praise thee, for ever.

Therefore: We glorify Thee, we bless Thee, we kneel to Thee, O Lord, singing and uplifting Thee for all ages.

O Thou most holy and pious in the cave,
joy of the Mother of God is manifest:
then do we behold the image:
now, by its working, it raises up the whole universe to Thee:
therefore, sing ye the deeds,
and exalt Him for evermore.

Therefore, let us sing the song of the Theotokos: My soul doth magnify the Lord: with the refrain: More to be desired than fine gold.
