O Lord my God, upon Thee have I relied. Gloria. [Three times.] Save me from all them that persecute me and deliver me: lest the lion snatch away my soul, which is not saved nor delivered. O Lord my God, though I have done this, though there be unrighteousness in my hand, though I have given to him that reproached me a slap with my fist, yet let me fall into the hands of mine enemies: that the enemy may take away my soul and smite it, and thrust it through the earth, and pierce my glory. Arise, O Lord, by Thy wrath, and let them be as in the depths of hell. And arise, O Lord my God, according to Thy word which Thou hast commanded me. Gloria. [Three times.] And a host shall stand before Thee: and on high they shall turn back. He that judgeth among men, judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness and my integrity in me. That the wrath of the wicked may be cut off, and Thou mayest prove the heart and the reins of the righteous, O Lord, verily. My help cometh from God, who saveth the upright in heart. God is a Judge, mighty, long-suffering, not quick to anger every day. If ye turn not, prepare ye war: gird ye on your loins, put on the breastplate, strengthen the hands that handle the sword, and let the vessels of death be ready, and the arrows made with heat. All unrighteousness is conceived and bringeth forth sin: a fowler goeth about and taketh them in his snare. Let the disease of the wicked fall upon their head, and let their iniquity come down upon the top of their head. Confess to Thee, O Lord, according to Thy righteousness and according to Thy name which is high. Gloria. [Three times.]
