O Lord my God, into Thy hands I commend my spirit. Gloria. [Three times.] Save me from all them that persecute me and deliver me: lest the lion snatch away my soul, which is not saved nor delivered. O Lord my God, though I have done this, though there is unrighteousness in my hand, though I have given to him who reproaches me a slap, let me fall into the hands of mine enemies that they may overpower and pierce through the very life of mine, and thrust my glory into their bosom. Arise, O Lord, by Thy wrath, and rise up against the ends of Thine enemies. And arise, O Lord my God, by the commandment wherewith Thou didst command me. Gloria. [Three times.] A host shall stand before Thee: and upon them at heights they shall turn back. For Thou judgest the people; judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness and my innocence in me. That the sin of the wicked may be ended, and Thou mayest prove the heart and the reins of the righteous, O Lord, verily. My help cometh from God, who saveth the upright in heart. God is a Judge, mighty, long-suffering, not quick to anger every day. Yea, if ye turn not, ye shall purify your weapon, draw your bowstring tight, and be ready; and in it be prepared vessels of death, and arrows made with burning flax. All unrighteousness is conceived with sickness and born with lawlessness: a furrow digged and plowed down, and falls into the pit which he has dug. The sickness of him shall return upon his head, and unrighteousness of him shall fall upon the top of his head. Confess to Thee, O Lord, according to Thy righteousness and according to Thine holy name. Gloria. [Three times.]
