O Lord my God, upon Thee have I relied. Gloria. [Three times.] Save me from all them that persecute me and deliver me: lest the lion snatch away my soul, not being one delivering or saving. O Lord my God, though I have done this, though there is unrighteousness in my hand, though I have given to him who smote me a slap, let me fall into the hands of mine enemies: that my enemy may take my soul and seize it, and pierce it with the earth, and thrust my glory into his bosom. Arise, O Lord, by Thy wrath, and rise up against the ends of Thine enemies. And arise, O Lord my God, by Thy commandment which Thou hast commanded. Gloria. [Three times.] And a multitude of people shall be at Thee: and upon that they shall turn to the heights. He who judgeth among men, judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness and according to my cleanness from mine enemies. That the breath of the ungodly may come to an end, and Thou shalt correct the firstborn, trying the heart and the reins, O God, in truth. My help cometh from God, the Saviour of the righteous by heart. God, the Judge, is true, strong, long-suffering, not giving wrath every day. Though they do not turn back, let them purify their weapon, stretch their bow, and be ready, and in it let them be ready with vessels of death, and let their arrows be made with burning flax. All that is unrighteousness is conceived in sickness and born in lawlessness: a pit and a ditch have I dug for him, and he shall fall into the same which he digged. Let the disease of him come upon his head, and let unrighteousness come upon the top of him. Confess to Thee, O Lord, according to Thy righteousness and according to Thy name, Thou who art above. Gloria. [Three times.]
