Do końca psalm Davida.

O troparion, tone 3:

Grant, O Lord, to Thy servant the gift of compunction,
That he may not suddenly fall into spiritual delusion.
For Thou art a Stranger in this world and a foreigner in Thy own land;
Thou art a spectacle for all creation, a wonder and a marvel.

O Lord, grant that we may not be deceived by guile,
But may ever walk in the path of Thy righteousness,
That our souls may find rest in Thee today,
And may we always lift up our hands to Thee on high.

Blessed Pastor, Thou hast laid Thy Soul upon us, O most hidden and precious, co-mixed by me, alone nearest, save Thee, forgive me the mind that has wandered astray, and deliver me from the wolf, the lamb of God, and have mercy on me.

Long sleep overtook us, darkening with spiritual deception: but grant me morning of repentance, enlightening my thoughts, O Jesus Christ, the enlightenment of my soul, and save me.

By sin's darkness and the sweetness of earthly delights we are entangled, passions arise in us, and compunction does not come to our minds. But hearken, save, O humble one, grant me a mind of compunction, that I may be saved before the end by thy blessed morning: for Thou art my salvation, having saved the penitent and the unworthy.

As I fell into robbers, so also did I fall into many sins, and my soul was grieved. To whom shall I flee, guilty as I am? Only to Thee, O Physician of souls, have mercy on me, great in mercy.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

As a prodigal son, I have come and I am more generous: receive me, O Father, returning, as one of thy hired servants, and have mercy on me.

Now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Deliver us from those who hold us in sin, for sometimes even faithful ones do not hope, save only Thee, and from Thee are born the Lord. For Thou art my salvation, have mercy. [Amen.]

With prostrations and with prayer:

Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner, and forgive me for my wanderings, for Thy holy habitation.

Mercy of God great and glorious:

Again I have been burdened with weeping and with the deceitful custom, working in sin. Again I am a prince of darkness and father of passionate delights; Thou hast enslaved me, and as with a slave, by Thy will and by the desire of my flesh, Thou dost compel me to work. And what do I do, O my Lord and Saviour, and Helper of those who call upon Thee? Yet I fear and tremble lest, like always, I confess again, and fall short of the promises Thou hast promised, and sin at every hour: and not giving Thee, O my God, Thy due in prayer, Thine long-suffering riseth up against wrath. And who can endure Thy wrath, O Lord? For behold, Thou hast many mercies, and a flood of Thy lovingkindness; again I turn to Thee in prayer, crying out: "Forasmuch as I have sinned, forgive me." Have mercy on the fallen one, give me Thy hand for help, plunged into the depths of sweetness. Do not abandon, O my Creator, lest I be consumed by my own unrighteousness and sins; but by Thy customary mercy and goodness, compel me to avoid uncleanness and sinful thoughts, defiling always my heart that is wept over. For indeed, as Thou hast seen, there is no place of purity in it, but all manner of sins, and the whole body covered with sores. Thou, O Lover of mankind, physician of soul and body, fount of prayer, cleanse Thy tears flowing upon me sweetly: pour out on me Thy lovingkindness, give me healing and cleansing, heal my fainting, and do not turn away Thy face from me, lest I be consumed by the fire of wrath. But as Thou hast spoken, true God, for indeed joy cometh to those who confess one sinner, and Thou hast done this also upon me, and didst not shut with a door of good hope in my prayer, but hast turned them, and as with a reed hast corrected Thyself before Thee: for the weakness of nature is to the Creator, and the desires of youth, and the heaviness of body, Thou dost despise sin, and receive confession from those who call upon Thee in truth. Again blessed art Thou and praised be Thy glorious and magnificent Name, O Father, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
