And now, O my Soul, a troparion, tone 3:

Grant, O Lord, to Thy servant the gift of fearlessness,
That I may praise Thee with a pure heart and voice.
For Thou art life, O Lord, and all who trust in Thee shall not be confounded.
Thou art always with us, O God, and we are ever in Thine holy presence.
Grant that we may see Thy glory and the beauty of Thy creation,
That our hearts may be filled with compunction and tenderness of heart.

For Thou art the Creator of all things, and by Thee were all things made;
Thou art the Lord of life, O Lord, and to Thee do we lift up our souls.
Grant that we may walk in the path of righteousness,
And that our lives may be a spectacle of Thy mercy and grace.

For Thou art the King of glory, O Christ, and unto Thee do we offer our prayers;
Grant us, O Lord, to know Thee more deeply and to love Thee with all our hearts.
For Thou art the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one cometh to the Father but by Thee.

Therefore let us pray to Thee, O Lord, that we may be found worthy of Thy mercy,
And that we may ever walk in the light of Thy truth and righteousness.

Blessed Pastor, Thou hast laid Thy Soul upon us, O Revealer of the Hidden Things, co-mixed with me by Thee alone, most dear. Have mercy on me, who am wandering in a mind lost and deceived, and deliver me from the wolf, the lamb of Christ, and forgive me.

Long sleep overcame us, darkened by the delusion of sinful deceit: but grant me morning of repentance, enlightening my thoughts, O Jesus Christ, the enlightenment of my soul, and save me.

By the sin-clouded and worldly pleasures we entwine our souls, passions arise in them, and compunction does not come to mind. But hear, save, O humble one; give me a thought of compunction, that I may be saved before the end by thy blessed prayer: for Thou art my Saviour, having saved the repentant and unworthy.

As I fell into robbers, so also did I fall into many sins, and my soul is thus afflicted. To whom shall I flee in penitence? Only to Thee, O Physician of souls; pour out upon me Thy great mercy.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

As a prodigal son, I have come back, more generously: receive me, O Father, having returned, as one of thy hired servants, and forgive me.

Now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Deliver us, Theotokos, from those who hold us in sin: for sometimes even faithful ones do not have recourse to Thee, and are born from Thee. For Thou, O Saviour, forgive. [Mnemosyn.] And with bowing down, with prayer:

Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner, and forgive me for I am a stranger to Thy holy stead.

Mercy of God great and glorious:

Again I have fallen into weeping and into the deceit of sin, working iniquity. Again I am a prince of darkness and a father of passionate delights; thou hast made me captive, and as with a slave thou dost will and desire to work my fleshly labors. And what shall I do, O my Lord and my Saviour, and my Helper for those who hope on thee? Yet I fear and tremble lest, as always confessing, I lose the promise promised me, and sin at every hour: and not giving thee, O my God, my prayer, thy long-suffering riseth up to anger. And who shall endure thine wrath, O Lord? For thou knowest the multitude of thy mercies, and the abundance of thy lovingkindness towards man; again I turn myself to thy prayer, and cry to thee: "Whereas I have sinned, forgive me." Have mercy on me, fallen one, give me a hand of help, in the depths of sweet delights. Do not leave, O my creation, lest I be corrupted by my own unrighteousness and sins; but by thy customary mercy and goodness, constrain me to avoid uncleanness and evil thoughts, which defile always my heart that is weeping. For indeed, O Lord, as thou hast seen, there is no place of purity in it, but all are offenses, and the whole body is covered with sores. Thou, O Lover of mankind, physician of soul and body, fountain of prayer, cleanse thy tears flowing upon me sweetly: pour out on me thy lovingkindness, and give me healing and cleansing, and heal my fainting, and do not turn away thy face from me, lest I be consumed by the fire of wrath; but as thou hast spoken, true God, as joy cometh to those who confess one sinner, so make it also for me, and with thy good womb open not to me, in my prayer of confession, but answer them, and as a reed correct them before thee: for the weakness of nature is to the Creator, and the desire of youth, and the weight of the body, thou despisest sin, and hast received repentance of those who call upon thee with truth. Again blessed art thou, O Lord, and praised be thy glorious and magnificent name, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
