O marvelous our Creator, humane-loving Master, most merciful Lord! For the sake of us, man, and for our salvation, you deigned to endure terrible passions, spitting, beatings and strangulation, and the cross and death. I remember all this with faith, and with reverence I honor Your multi-healing robe, which You deigned to wear according to the flesh, and with a contrite and humble heart I pray to You: do not disdain my sinful prayer, do not reject my tears and sighs, hear me, like the Canaanite, do not despise me, like a harlot, show me, a sinner, the great mercy of Thy love for mankind, protect me with Thy honest robe, have mercy and strengthen me, so that I may endure all the troubles and misfortunes sent from You with thanksgiving, in the hope of eternal blessings: rather, turn my sorrow into joy, so that I, the accursed one, will not fall into despair and perish. For You are the source of mercy and the unashamed hope of our salvation, Christ our God, and we send up glory to You, with the Beginningless Father, and with Your Most Holy and Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages.
