O sacred head, venerable and blessed Father Barlaam the Great! Do not forget us sinners, but always remember us in your holy and auspicious prayers to God, as if you have boldness towards Him, and do not keep silent for us, who honor you with faith and love: for you have been given the grace to pray for us. We do not imagine that you are dead, but even after death the being who leads you is alive, we pray to you: do not depart from us in your spirit, but save us from the arrows of the enemy and all the charms of the demonic and the wiles of the devil. To our good shepherd and Russian luminary! Your image will always appear before our eyes, and your holy soul with its disembodied heavenly faces will appear rejoicing at the throne of the Almighty.

We fall down before you, Holy Father Barlaam, and we pray with tears: pray to Almighty God for us and for the good of our souls, ask us for a time of repentance and to freely depart from all the princes of the air and get rid of eternal torment, and to be partakers of the Kingdom of Christ, so that through your intercession we may be saved, we will glorify our Lord Jesus Christ, with His Beginning Father and the Most Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
