To you, as a powerful representative and strong prayer for us, we resort to sins and unworthiness. Pray for His goodness, that He may turn away His anger from us, righteously moved against us by our deeds, and, having despised our countless sins, turn us to the path of repentance and establish us on the path of His commandments. Protect our life in peace with your prayers, and ask for good haste in all good things, granting us everything we need for life and piety. And just as in ancient times Great Novgrad, by the appearance of your miraculous icon, you delivered from the destruction of mortals, so now we and all the cities and towns and our countries from all misfortunes and troubles and sudden death through your intercession, and from all enemies, visible and invisible, protect us with your protection.
Preserve in peace and long life our most pious sovereign, Emperor Nikolai Alexandrovich, and be a strong and fortified stronghold for his power and the entire Russian kingdom, so that we may live a quiet and silent life in all piety and purity, and so in the world this temporary life has passed, we will achieve eternal peace, where we will be worthy of the Heavenly Kingdom of Christ our God, To Him all glory is due, together with the Father and His Most Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
