And just as you escaped the turmoil of worldly unrest and were deemed worthy to achieve an angel-like, sorrowful life, so grant us sinners the depths of this sea, driven by passion, to sail serenely, for those who have you, Father, about our Lord the helmsman, and thus through pure repentance we are worthy to reach the haven of eternal salvation. And just as you had the supreme apostles Peter and Paul as your accomplices in the creation of your monastery, so even now we have asked those who are unworthy to help us, together with them begging Christ for us. We believe that even though your relics are holy and hidden in the earth, yet in your spirit you reign in heaven with God’s elect: intercede, therefore, that through your prayers the door of the Kingdom of Heaven will be opened to us sinners forever and ever.
