About the venerable and venerable Diodorus, our father, patient, fast-hearted, predestined for silence to the healer, spiritual teacher of those who want to be saved, gentle destroyer of corrupting passions, prayer book for those who beat you innocently, Christ-like, insight prophetically fulfilled, pre-announcement of the good things to come, the adamantine of faith in Christ, the unbreakable pillar of patience, the unshakable pillar of patience, obedient to the perfecter of the commandments of his Creator, the flesh-bearing Angel and the Holy Spirit, the receptacle, fragrant, the desert dweller, the undoubting, the humble, heavenly man and cohabitant with the heavenly ranks! You, by the meekness of the spirit of the meek, have inherited the earth, and you have appeared as a friend and saint in the Trinity to our glorious God, who also deigned to cover the shrine of your celibate relics in your church. We know, reverend, how God commanded the faithful to sprinkle the miraculous rain of your shrine in abundance.
Falling before her, we kindly pray to you, venerable saint: do not cease praying to the Most Holy and Life-Giving Trinity, may He bestow upon our king health, silence and longevity, victory and victory for his enemies, harmony among the churches and all people with humility and an abundance of good things. Extinguish, O blessed one, with your prayers the kindled demonic arrows hovering at us, so that sinful malice may not touch us, and always grant mercy to everyone. Look also upon me, the unworthy: for I am bound by the cruel captivity of my sins and drawn into the depths of the passionate sea [woe is me!] uncontrollably.
For this reason, I diligently pray to your shrine, O rich one, and I fall before the race of your relics with tears, saying: stand before me on the path of my misfortune, break the bonds, sever passions, loosen from sinful chains, deliver me from the coming sorrow and from all evil, so that I may not be reduced by my deeds to the cruel enemy of the world: release me from painful conditions and grant me salvation, as if we are saved by your prayers, I will sing and glorify from all things visible and invisible creatures in the Trinity glorified our God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and to endless ages of ages.
