Praise the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.

в҃. Кто̀ возглаго́летъ си̑лы гдⷭ҇ни, слы̑шаны сотвори́тъ всѧ̑ хвалы̑ є҆гѡ̀;
Who can declare the mighty deeds of the Lord? who can show forth all his praise?

Blessed are those who keep judgment and do righteousness in every time.

Remember us, O Lord, with the favor which thou bearest to thy people; visit us in thy salvation.

That I may see the goodness of thy elect and rejoice in the joy of thy people, that I may glory in thy inheritance.

ѕ7. We have sinned with our fathers, we have acted unjustly, we have done wickedly.

Our fathers in Egypt did not understand your wonders, nor remembered the multitude of your mercies; but provoked you at the Red Sea, when coming up.

Nevertheless He saved them for His name's sake, that He might make known His mighty power.

He rebuked the Red Sea, and it became dry land; and he led them through the depths, as through a wilderness.

‹. And he saved them from the hand of those who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

And the waters covered their oppressors; not one of them was left.

Then they believed his words and praised him.

They hastened, forgot His deeds; endured not His counsel:

But they coveted unlawfully in the wilderness and tempted the Lord in the dry land.

And he granted their desire, but sent poverty into their souls.

The Lord hath been wroth with Moses in the camp, and hath taken him into counsel.

The earth opened and swallowed Dathan, and covered the congregation of Abiram.

And a fire was kindled in their synagogue; the flame assailed the sinners.

They made a calf at Horeb and worshiped the cast image.

Thus they changed their glory to the likeness of oxen feeding on grass.

They forgot God who saved them, the One who worked great deeds in Egypt.

Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red Sea.

Therefore he said he would destroy them, but Moses his chosen stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath, that he might not destroy them.

Yea, they despised the land of promise, they believed not the word thereof:

But they murmured in their tents, not hearkening to the voice of the Lord.

Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness.

To cast down their seed among the nations and to scatter them in the lands.

And they joined themselves also to Baal-PEGOR, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

Thus they provoked him with their devices, and the plague prevailed among them.

Then stood Phinehas and interceded; and the plague ceased.

And it was accounted to him for righteousness unto generation and generation forever.

They angered him through disputations at the waters, and Moses was grieved for their sake.

Because they provoked his Spirit, and he spoke rashly with his lips.

They did not destroy the nations concerning whom the Lord commanded them.

But they were mingled with the nations and learned their deeds.

And they served their idols, which proved to be a snare for them.

Yea, they offered their sons and their daughters to the demons.

And shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they offered to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with their blood.

Thus were they defiled in their works, and fornicated in their inventions.

Therefore was the Lord's anger kindled against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.

And he delivered them into the hands of nations, who ruled over them with hatred.

Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were humbled by their hands.

Many times did He deliver them; but they provoked Him with their counsels, and were humbled in their iniquities.

Nevertheless he saw their oppression, when he heard their outcry:

And he remembered his covenant and repented according to the abundance of his mercy.

He gave them up to be objects of pity before all who had made them captive.

Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks for thy holy name and to glory in thy praise.

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting, and let all the people say, Amen.
Glory:
