Ye youths, beholding virgins prepared for a marriage foul through poverty's sake, did hear of thy great mercy towards the poor, O most merciful Father Nicholas, when to their aged father in the night thou gavest three talents of gold to the old man and his daughters, rescuing them from the fall into sin. Wherefore dost thou hear henceforth:

Rejoice, O great treasury of mercy:

Rejoicing, thou hast been a counselor to the counselors of men.

Rejoice, food and joy for those who flee to thee:
Glory be to God for bread unspeakable and precious.
Rejoice, O riches given by God to the poor living on earth.

Rejoice, O elevation swift of the saints.

Rejoice, swift hearing of the poor's supplication:
Rejoice, kind care for those who mourn.

Rejoice, three virgins, immaculate to the bride:
Rejoice, O Guardian of Pure Heart.
Rejoice, the unreliable are more reliable:

Rejoice, all the worldly pleasure.
Rejoice, Nicholas, great wonderworker.
