Blessed Star shone forth, guiding those who were drowning in the fierce tempests of life, and suddenly death stood before them near at times; yet even then, when thou didst not appear to be called upon by them beseeching thee for help, O Wonderworker Nicholas: verily, thou wast not ashamed to let loose the demons flying about, and to cause them to sink the ships desiring to perish; but thou taughtest the faithful to cry unto God: Glory to thee.
