Yirmós: As Thou walkedest on dry land in the wilderness, / through the depths of the waters with Thy feet, / Thou didst drive Pharaoh / seeing him overwhelmed by the flood, / and didst take up the victorious song, praising God.
Припѣ́въ: Поми́лꙋй мѧ̀, бж҃е, поми́лꙋй мѧ̀.
Response: Милосердию мне, Господи, милосердию мне.
Ны́нѣ пристꙋпи́хъ а҆́зъ грѣ́шный и҆ ѡ҆бремене́нный къ тебѣ̀ влⷣцѣ и҆ бг҃ꙋ моемꙋ̀: не смѣ́ю же взира́ти на нб҃о, то́кмѡ молю́сѧ, глаго́лѧ: да́ждь мѝ гдⷭ҇и ѹ҆́мъ, да пла́чꙋсѧ дѣ́лъ мои́хъ го́рькѡ.
Now I, the sinful and burdened, have approached Thee, O Master and God: I dare not lift up mine eyes to heaven, but pray, saying: Give me, O Lord, compunction of heart, that I may weep over my bitter deeds.

Response: Милосердию мя, Господи, милосердию мя.
Ѽ го́ре мнѣ̀ грѣ́шномꙋ! па́че всѣ́хъ человѣ̑къ ѻ҆каѧ́ненъ є҆́смь: покаѧ́нїѧ нѣ́сть во мнѣ̀: да́ждь мѝ гдⷭ҇и сле́зы, да пла́чꙋсѧ дѣ́лъ мои́хъ го́рькѡ.
Alas for me, sinful! More than all men I am reproached: there is no repentance in me: give me, O Lord, tears that I may weep over my deeds bitter.

Response: Милосердию állы, Господже, милосердию álla.
Безꙋ́мне ѻ҆каѧ́нне человѣ́че, въ лѣ́ности вре́мѧ гꙋби́ши: помы́сли житїѐ твоѐ, и҆ ѡ҆брати́сѧ ко гдⷭ҇ꙋ бг҃ꙋ, и҆ пла́чисѧ ѡ҆ дѣ́лѣхъ твои́хъ го́рькѡ.
Wretched madness of man, in sloth thou wasthest away: think upon thy life, and turn unto the Lord God, and weep for thy deeds bitter.

Mtachi bogu pravoslitaia, vozrizi na mja grěšnago, i o sěti diavoli izbavi mja, i na put pokayanija nastavi mja, da plachusja dela moih gorycka.

And when the canon is sung before the throne of the Theotokos, it is the creation of the deacon. Tone I.

By many temptations we are assailed; to Thee, O Saviour, do we flee for help: from bitter and fierce trials, save us.

By the sorrows constrain me to apply myself, O my Soul, to fulfill my soul: console the virgins, by silence and by God Thy own, all-virgin.

Unsick in body and soul, by thy visitation and understanding granted to thee by God, alone hast thou found mercy, O gracious Mother.

And by the angel guardian, the voice: Ἀγγέλε, ῥαντίστηρ ζωῆς, ἀλήθεια ὁμολόγου, ἐκλαυθμὸς ἡπάτων, ἄφεσις ἁμαρτιῶν.

Vespers to Jesus: O Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.
Пѣ́снь воспѣ́ти и҆ восхвали́ти, сп҃се, твоего̀ раба̀ досто́йнѡ сподо́би, безпло́тномꙋ а҆́гг҃лꙋ, наста́вникꙋ и҆ храни́телю моемꙋ̀.
To sing a hymn and to praise, O Lord, Thy servant deems himself worthy today, the immaterial angel, my instructor and guardian.

Vespers: Holy Angel, my Guardian, pray for me to God.
Є҆ди́нъ а҆́зъ въ неразꙋ́мїи и҆ въ лѣ́ности ны́нѣ лежꙋ̀, наста́вниче мо́й и҆ храни́телю, не ѡ҆ста́ви менє̀ погиба́юща.
Thou alone in ignorance and laziness now lie, my Guide and Guardian, do not forsake me perishing.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.
Ќмъ мо́й твое́ю мл҃твою напра́ви, твори́ти мѝ бж҃їѧ повелѣ̑нїѧ, да полꙋчꙋ̀ ѿ бг҃а ѿда́нїе грѣхѡ́въ, и҆ ненави́дѣти мѝ ѕлы́хъ наста́ви мѧ̀, молю́сѧ тѝ.
By Thine mercy, direct me, O Lord, to fulfill Thy commandments, that I may receive forgiveness of sins from God, and loathe not mine enemies, but admonish me thereunto, O pray for me.
И҆ ны́нѣ и҆ при́снѡ и҆ во вѣ́ки вѣкѡ́въ. Ґми́нь.
And now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Моли́сѧ дв҃и́це ѡ҆ мнѣ̀ рабѣ̀ твое́мъ ко бл҃года́телю, со храни́телемъ мои́мъ а҆́гг҃ломъ, и҆ наста́ви мѧ̀ твори́ти за́пѡвѣди сн҃а твоегѡ̀, и҆ творца̀ моегѡ̀.
Blessed Theotokos, pray for me, Thy handmaid, before the Beneficent and Guardian Angel of mine, and guide me to fulfill the commandments of Thy Son and my Creator.
