Having risen up at the cathedral, like a bright theologian and the mouth of unspoken Wisdom, you preached God’s being without participation, but the action is participatory in those who cry out to you, father:
Rejoice, great glory to the priest;
Rejoice, O Divine Manifestation of God.
Rejoice, thou of the highest lordship to the herald;
Rejoice, luminous adoration of the secret writer.
Rejoice, God-like leader of wise sobriety;
Rejoice, charmless teacher of inner prayers.
Rejoice, for you are filled with heavenly graces;
Rejoice, for you have partaken of the divine radiance.
Rejoice, thou who has seen God's lordship;
Rejoice, drive out darkness of passions.
Rejoice, foundation of Orthodox dogmas;
Rejoice, streams of rich springs.
Rejoice, Father Gregory, preacher of grace.
