O good shepherd, vigilant mentor, reverend Father Polycarp! You, having come from the rebellion of this world, have followed Christ by rejecting the transient blessings of the Gospel, and having lived an equal life with the angels, you have been granted the honor of the bodiless. For this reason, for the sake of your love for people, rememberingly, like a child to a father, we run to you and pray to you with tenderness: be an indestructible shield for the holy Orthodox Church and our fatherland: be a guardian and assistant to the most pious sovereign Emperor Nikolai Alexandrovich, wearing him from the throne of the King of glory, strength, joy, peace and consolation: as a comrade-in-arms, assist his army in victories over their adversaries.

Deliver, O reverend servant of God, from every slander of the enemy the cities and towns of the Russian country, and through your intercession do not forsake us who are weak, burdened with sin and sorrow: beseech the goodness of Christ our God to grant us peace of mind, from destructive passions and all Temperance is impure, long-suffering brotherly love, but unfeigned piety, let us turn the good things always sent to us from above into evil.

Illuminate, most blessed, our mind with the light of the face of God: strengthen our will with the grace of the Lord, so that, having been established in the law of Christ, we will flow without laziness along the path of the commandments of the saints: in the autumn of the mountains with your blessing on us and all in sorrow existing, possessed by mental and physical illnesses, granting healing, consolation and deliverance: for all these, ask us from above for the spirit of meekness and humility, the spirit of patience and repentance, so that we may live the rest of our life in faith and contrition of heart, and so At the hour of our death, let us gratefully praise the Lord who sent you, the Beginningless Father, His Only Begotten Son and the Consubstantial All-Good Spirit, the Indivisible Trinity, forever and ever.
