The Pskov-Pechersk monastery, from ancient times glorious, the miracles of the icon of the Mother of God, many monks brought up God: there the Monk Cornelius fought a good fight, glorifying the wonderful Mother of God, enlightening other faiths, monks and saving many people, marvelously decorating and fencing their monastery: there the crown of martyrdom, after many years of its shepherding, is more valiantly accepted. In the same way, people, let us sing to Christ God, and let us give thanks to His Most Pure Mother, for she has given us a glorious martyr and a worthy prayer book for our souls.
