O holy passion-bearer, holy martyr Kuksha, your fellow tribesman, our father, who accomplished the apostolic deeds in the midst of your dwelling, you enlightened them with the light of true knowledge of God, and according to the grace of the Holy Spirit, you drove away demons, brought down rain from heaven, dried up the lake and having performed many miracles, and crowned your long-suffering feat with a martyr’s death! Receive from us tender and fervent prayers and lift me up to the throne of the Holy Trinity, where you stand in the face of the saints, for through your intercession the Merciful Lord will establish in peace and glory the power of our most pious sovereign, Emperor Nikolai Alexandrovich, and in the children of the holy Orthodox Church may the spirit of faith and piety strengthen the shepherds, may it increase its zeal for the edification of the flock and may it look with a merciful eye on the people coming and resorting to your help. Hey, holy servant of God! We know that for the sake of your suffering, your prayer can do much for the mercy of the Lord.
