Wishing to uncover the hidden mystery from of old, because Thou wast led in prayer upon Thy knees, and because the voiceless Lamb was sheared straightway, and because God raised Thee from the dead, and with glory didst Thou ascend into heaven, and didst raise us up, calling: Gloria.

All angelic creation unceasingly glorify thy throne, O Jesus Christ, holy, holy, holy, crying out: We sinners on earth with humble lips cry out: Gloria.

O Jesus Christ, quench not the flame of my soul, nor deliver me from other eternal torments.

O Master, Jesus Christ, our God, Who didst deign to take flesh and become incarnate for the sake of Thy wondrous love to man, even unto the end of the ages in a body that was conceived by the Holy Spirit! We glorify Thee, O Lord, for Thou hast revealed Thy saving work to us, Thy servants: we praise Thee, because for our sakes Thou didst descend into the world; we bless Thee, who camest into the world as the Holy One, according to Thy promise; we bow before Thy flesh, which served so fearfully in such a mystery; we extol Thy angelic beauty, as Thou art singers and servants of Thy majesty: we comfort John, who baptized Thee, O Lord, from whom: we honor and proclaim those prophets who foretold Thee; we glorify Thy apostles; we rejoice with the martyrs, and we bow before Thy venerable ones, and we venerate all Thy saints. Thus, bringing to Thee, O God, our Lord, all this in heartfelt prayer, we beseech Thee for forgiveness of our sins, more abundantly than Thou hast shown Thy great mercies: for Thou art blessed forever.
