Glorified art thou, O Virgin Mother of God, / we sing to Thee: / For through the Cross of Thy Son hell was laid low / and death was slain, / slain, by the resurrection and the Life was made worthy: / paradise was received, ancient pleasure. / Therefore we give thanks, let us glorify / as the sovereign Christ our God / and the only Most Merciful.
