Today the ancient city of Yelets is shining brightly, / commemorating the glorious miracle of the Most Holy Theotokos: / always on the hundred squares of the Mother See of Moscow / an icon of Her wonderful people of Muscovy Sretakhu, / then the Lady herself, on Mount Argamachstey in the city of Yelets, / to meet the wicked Tamerlane, / his terrible invasion was reversed. / This wondrous phenomenon The image on the newly painted icon clearly shows/ and thanks to our Intercessor for all her good deeds,/ we tenderly call upon Her // and do not forsake us in the past, O Merciful Mother.
