Imitating the twelve-year-old Christ who taught in the sanctuary, you followed God’s word, Euphrosyne: you left the temporal glory and the earthly betrothed, and despised all the worldly things, you disgraced the most beautiful Christ of all for yourself: having taken up the cross, in the way of the angels walking through life, and instructing many to him, in the fragrance of the world, you ascended into the heavenly palace: where you prayed, whom you loved, for those who reverently honor your memory.
