The memory of the righteous is with praise, but the testimony of the Lord is sufficient for you, O Forerunner: for you have shown that you are truly more honorable than the prophets, as in the streams of baptism you were deemed worthy to be the One who spoke. In the same way, having suffered for the truth, rejoice, you preached the good news to those in hell who is God manifest in the flesh, who takes away the sin of the world and gives us great mercy.
