Thy light, O John the Golden-mouthed, like the brightness of a flame kindled with grace, hath enlightened the whole world: not by covetousness for earthly treasures hast Thou sought to exalt us, but by Thy words Thou didst reprove, O John, and didst show us humility as our high estate. Pray therefore that the words of Jesus Christ may save our souls. Glory to Thee, O Father, and to Thee, O Spirit, and to Thee, O Son.
