To Thee, O Lord, I lift up my soul. God, in Thee have I taken refuge; let me not be confounded for ever, nor let them mock at me to my face: for all who wait on Thee shall not be confounded. But they that are without law shall be ashamed for a season. Show me Thy way, O Lord, and lead me by Thy path. Set my heart in Thee, O God; teach me. For Thou art my salvation, O Lord; and I have waited for Thee all the day long. Remember, O Lord, Thy mercies, and Thy truth, for they are from everlasting. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor the ignorance of my soul: remember me, O Lord, according to Thy mercy, for Thou art good. Good and upright is the Lord; that He may teach sinners His way. He will guide the humble into judgment, He will teach the humble His path. All His paths are mercy and truth, to those who keep His covenant and His testimony. For His name's sake, O Lord, cleanse my sin: for many am I. Who is he that feareth Thee? Let him be taught his way by Thee; whom Thou hast chosen. In Thy righteousness let the soul of him be established, and let his seed inherit the land. The kingdom of them that fear Thee shall endure, and their covenant He will establish to them. My fathers have provoked Thee to anger, yet Thou hast forgiven for the sake of Thy name. Look upon me, O God, and have mercy on me; for I am alone and needy. My sorrows are multiplied: deliver me from my distress. Behold my humility and my labors, and forgive all my sins. Behold mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me with an unrighteous hatred. Keep my soul, O God, and deliver me; that I be not confounded, for I have put my trust in Thee. The merciful and righteous cleave to me, because I have waited for Thee, O Lord.
