O holy, glorious and all-praised Apostle James Alpheus, disciple of Christ, who taught many people to the true faith and from them was named the divine seed! As we gather today in this church of yours and diligently flock to your honorable relics, brightly celebrating your holy memory, we say to you with tenderness: you, in many different countries, having grown the seed of the holy faith through the labors of the apostles, from it you created much fruit, now gloriously preserved in heavenly treasures. Pray therefore to the Divine Sower, the Lord Jesus Christ, so that we, the seed of our faith in fruitful multiplication, may be worthy at the end of our life to be received by the hands of the inhabitants of the mountains, the holy Angels, into the heavenly granary, glorify there and sing the most honorable and magnificent name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
