Since among our neighbors the closest to us are our parents, father and mother, then first of all and most of all we must honor and love our parents, especially in their deep old age, when they are not able to earn food for themselves. Any disrespect for parents, expressed in abuse, cursing, mocking them and even beatings, is a grave sin before God.
