Behold, Isaiah’s prophecy was fulfilled: / A virgin gave birth to you, / and after Christmas, as before Christmas, you abided, / God was born, and so also cut off the new nature. / But, O Mother of God, / the prayers of Your servants, / offered to You in Your church, do not despise, / but as you carry Your Blessed in your hands, / have mercy on Your servants / and pray save our souls.
