Having risen from sleep, I thank You, Holy Trinity, for for the sake of Your goodness and long-suffering, You were not angry with me, lazy and sinful, and below You destroyed me with my iniquities; but You loved mankind as a rule, and in the despair of a lying person You raised me up to exercise and glorify Your power. And now enlighten my mental eyes, open my lips, to learn Your words, and to understand Your commandments, and to do Your will, and to sing to You in confession. with your heart, and sing Thy all-holy name, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages.
