God, wonderful in advice, great in mercy, inscrutable in deeds, ineffable in wisdom! What kind of thanksgiving, what kind of honor will we, Thy mortal creation, bring to Thee, as Thy Only Begotten Son, the radiance of glory and the image of Thy hypostasis, ours for the sake of salvation, according to Thy fatherly favor, from His heavenly dwelling to us? Christ the Savior, the joy of the world and the sweetness of the Angels! What glory, what praise will we give to You, Your sinful servants, with Your divine blood from the jaws of hell and deliverance from death? We confess with our hearts, we preach with our lips, that Your death, O Savior, is our life, and Your Resurrection is our spiritual rebirth.

And thus, by Your invisible grace, You are always with us, and this coexistence, desiring to be captured, Your Most Pure and Divine face was miraculously depicted on the ubrus, which, as many-wonderful and multi-healing, reverently kissing, we worship Your mercy, all-generous and all-sweet Jesus and our Lord, and bending the knee of our hearts, we pray with all-zealous faith in You: grant unanimity to Your Holy Church, preserve under the shelter of Your mercy Your anointed, most pious, most autocratic, great sovereign of ours, Emperor Nikolai Alexandrovich of all Russia and the entire reigning house: create peace and prosperity in their days: bless them, and bless us all, Your gracious blessing. May it be, O All-merciful Creator, that by Your grace we will protect and cover this city from every evil situation, for whose sake we presently offer our prayers from our hearts. Grant that all of us, learning by Your holy commandments, may be worthy of being in Your eternal rest, which You have prepared for those who love You forever and ever.
