Hope of the unreliable, Strength of the helpless, Shelter of the overwhelmed, Protection of the flocked, Intercession of the offended, Heavenly Manno, delighting the hungry, drink of heavenly rest for the thirsty, Mother of the Most Blessed Christ God, Most Blessed and Immaculate Virgin! We zealously resort to You, we wholeheartedly bow our knees to Your protection. Do not despise our crying and tears. Even though our unworthiness and the damnation of our sins terrify us, we see that this whole-giving holy image of Thy, upon which Thy grace and power, like an inexhaustible sea, still fills us with the hope of salvation. For in the place of the blind we saw, the deaf heard first, the sick received healing, the afflicted were comforted, all abounding in every request. Having looked at these pardons, blinded the eyes of the soul and lame the feelings of the soul, now I come running here. Enlighten us and correct us, Lady: weigh all our sorrow and all misfortune. Do not despise our prayers, do not disdain us sinners: we know that you can do everything, great will, O Our Blessing Hope and Consolation!

From our youth we have been committed to You: do not forsake us, but depart from us now and ever and unto ages of ages.
