Oh, sacred and long-suffering head, good shepherd of the verbal sheep of Christ, Hieromartyr of Christ Charalampos. Magnesian praise and glory of the universe, universal lamp and our great intercessor and helper in sorrows, troubles and all kinds of needs! Hear us sinners who come running to you and pray, and deliver us from every evil situation. You have received from the Lord grace and great strength for your many and necessary sufferings and patience to help us everywhere and in everything, and especially where your memory is honored there will be vigils, singing and fervent prayer. Great grace is given to you, Hieromartyr of Christ, from the Lord King of Glory who appeared to you at your request. When you condemned the beheading of the sword, you heard the most beloved and sweetest voice saying to you: “Come, Haralampye, my friend, there is much torment in the name of endure for My sake, and ask Me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”

But you, great luminary, declared to Christ the Lord with your lips: “My Lord, great is this gift that I have from You, the never-evening Light. If it pleases Thy Majesty, I pray Thee, deign to grant me Thy great mercy: so that where my relics will be placed and the memory of my suffering will be honoured, There will be no famine, no pestilence, or noxious air that destroys the fruits, but let there be peace, health to our bodies and souls, salvation, abundance wheat, wine, and oil, and an increase in livestock for man’s needs.” Again, you, the long-suffering servant of Christ, Haralampie, have heard the voice of the Lord telling you: “Be according to your request, my glorious warrior.” And abiye, according to the words of this Lord, you gave up your soul without the cutting of the sword, and went after Christ the Lord with much glory, the angel who meets and sees off to the throne of the Lord with great joy.

And so you received the crown of glory from His Divine hand from the faces of the saints, forever glorifying the most holy name of the Lord. And there, abiding in the glory of heaven, look, O saint of God, upon us sinners who pray to you, and remember us before the Lord, even to grant us the greatness of His mercy for our needs. to endless ages. Amen.
