About reverence and God-bearing our fathers Athos, the bright earthly light, from the deserted expanses of the holy Mount Athos in the Orthodox Church gloriously shone and the holy mountain of the infusion of your life with the kindnesses of heaven, the whole universe of high lordship virtues and Divine miracles shining and surprising! Behold, now you, the mortal West, having carnally entered the grave for a time, your souls remain with Christ, the Sun of Truth, and being a righteous woman, you are enlightened like the sun in the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, your prayers to God, the true light, extends rays, do not forget us, your spiritual children, even in the night of passions and sorrows, looking upon the light from above with grace: for in the light of your virtuous life, walking the right way of the commandments of Christ, we will be worthy to see the light of inviolable glory God, praisingly joined with you in the Trinity of the Holy Ones, we glorify and worship God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
