O blessed and ever-memorable Our Father Anthony! We do not consider you to be dead: even though you were departed from us in body, you are still alive in the council of angels. Pray for us, chosen one of Christ, and do not despise us who honor you with faith and love: remember us unworthy at the throne of the Heavenly King, for you have been given the grace to pray for us. O our good intercessor and prayer book! Behold, your holy relics are visible before our eyes. Always protect us from the snares of the enemy: pray to the Lord for the salvation of our souls, and ask us for a time of repentance and a Christian death that is painless, shameless, and peaceful, so that we may pass through the ordeal of the princes of the air without restraint and be worthy of the Heavenly Kingdom with all those who please The Ruler of heaven and earth, our Lord Jesus Christ, to Him belongs all glory, honor and worship, always, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.
