O most graceful and great servant of the Lord, Savvo! We praise your glorious miracles, we glorify your holy life. No one can destroy the patience and labors of your saint: you left your fatherland and your family, you reached the wilderness and gathered disciples, you founded a holy monastery, and in it you erected a pillar, you labored on that, preserving your verbal flock: in the same way, the robbers who once found your monastery were unjust. You saw it, and with one of the rods you frightened it with this emphasis. And now, Reverend Father, we are afraid of all the enemies who rise up against us: pray for our most pious emperor and for all the Christ-loving Russian army: beg the merciful God to forgive us our sins and grant us the privilege of enjoying eternal joy together with all the saints, now and ever and unto the ages of ages.
