God is glorified in the council of the righteous, for the light of the virtues of Saint Hypatius has risen before people, resorting to which we cry from the depths of our hearts: you were a perfect monk, Saint Hypatius, who through many labors cleared your path to the gates of heaven; Having come to the uninhabited monastery of Rufim with your disciples, you cleansed it and brought it back to its former splendor. There, making hair shirts, you performed great deeds. You received the gift from the Lord, praiseworthy Hypatius, to heal various ailments, and most of all dropsy. Look at those suffering from this serious illness, Saint Hypatius, and propitiate the Lord with your favorable prayer, and stop the weak with the invisible miraculous power of God, healing them according to the great mercy of the Lord, and may, having felt relief in the body and cheerfulness of spirit, they reject negligence and zealously walk along the ladder of virtues, stretching to success in godly deeds, and glorifying the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
