You are truly a man of spiritual desires and you have appeared as the second Daniel. like this ancient prophet, with the high virtue and holiness of his life, heavenly visions and wondrous revelations: you, too, reverent one, believing in ascension in your heart, you excelled in virtues, and like a good and faithful servant, you entered into the joy of your Lord. In the same way, we, as your spiritual child, are motivated by love, we will sing songs of praise in honor of your memory, and we prayerfully call for help to our weakness. To this end, we humbly pray to you, our reverend and glorious Father Tikhon: with your prayers favorable to the Lord, protect this desert, beloved by you, the city and the whole: and all, by faith honoring your holy memory, from every slander of the enemy, from all troubles and misfortunes and all evil. Pray, Reverend, for our most pious, autocratic, great sovereign, Emperor Nicholas Alexandrovich of all Russia, for his Christ-loving army and for his entire power.
