To Thee, O Lover of Mankind, having arisen from sleep I hasten to Thee, and striving in Thy works I beseech Thee: help me at every time, in every matter, and deliver me from every worldly snare, and the devil's haste, and save me, and lead me into Thy eternal Kingdom. For Thou art my Creator, and the Dispenser of all good; to Thee therefore doth all my hope rest, and I send Thee glory now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

O Lord, in whomsoever Thou hast given me much of Thy goodness and great bounty, granting me this passing night without harm to go forth against every adversary: Thou Thyself, O Master of all creators, vouchsafe me the true light of Thine own self, enlightening my heart that I may do Thy will now and forever. O All-powerful Lord, God of all flesh and every creature, living in the heavens, and looking with mercy upon the humble, searching hearts and tribulations, foreseeing the hidden things of men, O uncreated and eternal Light, before Thee there is no change or alteration: Thou Thyself art the immortal King; receive our prayers now, daringly relying on Thy abundant mercies, turning to Thee from our sins. And forgive us our transgressions, whether in deed, word, thought, knowledge, or ignorance, cleansing us of every stain of body and spirit.
Grant us a cheerful heart and sober mind throughout this present night, waiting for the coming of Thy light and glory on this single day, O only-begotten Son of God and Jesus Christ our Saviour. In Whose presence shall come to judgment all things by Thy Word; that we may not fall but watch with vigilance, rising in action, finding ourselves ready, rejoicing and partaking in the eternal throne of glory, where the unceasing voice of gladness is heard by those who see Thine ineffable goodness. For Thou art the true Light, shining and illuminating all things for evermore. Amen.
