To Thee, O Lover of Mankind, rising from sleep I hasten to Thee, and striving in Thy deeds I beseech Thee: help me at every time, in every matter, and deliver me from every worldly snare, and from the swift onset of the devil, and save me, and lead me into Thy eternal Church. For Thou art my Creator, and dispenser of all good; to Thee do I commit all my hope, and to Thee I send glory now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Mercy Lord, even as holy:
O Lord, who hast given me, Thy servant, this night that hath passed by without harm from all contrary things: Thou Thyself, O Master of all creatures, vouchsafe to me true light and enlightened heart to do Thy will now and forever and ever. Amen.

O All-powerful Lord, God of all flesh and every creature, living in the heavens, and looking with mercy upon the humble, testing hearts and consciences, foreknowing the hidden things of men, O unbeginning and ever-present Light, without change or alteration: Thou Thyself, the immortal King, receive our prayers now, daring much from Thy abundant mercies, turning to Thee from our sins: and forgive us our transgressions, both in deed, word, thought, knowledge, and ignorance, having cleansed us of all uncleanness of body and spirit. And grant us a cheerful heart and a sober mind throughout this present night, waiting for the coming of Thy light and glory on this one day, where Thou and God and Saviour Jesus Christ shall sit in judgment, to give to each according to their deeds: that we may not fall nor be ashamed, but watching and working, find ourselves ready, rejoicing and entering into the eternal throne of Thy glory with those who are celebrating an unceasing voice, and tasting unspeakable sweetness beholding Thine ineffably good face. For Thou art the true Light, enlightening and sanctifying all creation; and all things sing Thee in ages without end. Amen.
