To Thee, O Lover of Mankind, rising from sleep I hasten to Thee, and with Thy strength I strive in Thy works, and pray unto Thee: help me at every time, in every matter, and deliver me from every worldly snare, and from the swift onset of the devil, and save me, and lead me into Thy holy eternal Kingdom. For Thou art my Creator, and the Disposer of all good; to Thee alone do I trust, and to Thee I send glory now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Mercy Lord, even as holy:

O Lord, in whom I have found much of Thy goodness and great bounty, Thou hast given me this passing night without harm to go forth against all that is contrary: Thou Thyself, O Master of all creators, vouchsafe me the true light of Thine own self, and enlightened heart, to do Thy will now and forever. Amen.

Mercy hath come, O great basilica of the holy virgins:

O All-powerful Lord, God of all flesh and every creature, living on high, and looking with mercy upon the humble, Thou who testeth hearts and understandest thoughts, foreknowing the hidden things of men, O unbeginning and ever-present Light, before Whom there is no change or alteration: Thou, Who art without beginning and eternal, receive our supplications now, daring much because of Thy great mercies; we offer Thee our prayers from the depths of our hearts, beseeching Thee to forgive us our many transgressions, both in deed and word and thought, whether known or unknown, having sinned against Thee. And cleanse us from all uncleanness of body and spirit.

Grant us a blameless heart and a sober mind throughout this present night, waiting for the coming of Thy light and glory on this one day, O Only-begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ, Whose face with Thine is to be seen at the Judgment, when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess Thee. Let not those who have fallen into sin fall asleep, but let them watch and rise up in action, that we may find ourselves ready, rejoicing and filled with Thy divine glory, where the unceasing voice of gladness is heard and the unspeakable sweetness of Thy goodness is seen.

For Thou art the true Light, enlightening and sanctifying all things; and all creation sings Thee in ages without end. Amen.
