O sacred head, earthly angel and heavenly man, venerable and God-bearing Father Theodosius, eminent servant of the Most Holy Theotokos, in Her holy name I built a wonderful monastery on the Pechersk mountains and in it there are many miracles beaming! We pray to you with zeal for many things: pray for us to the Lord God and ask us from Him great and rich mercies: right faith, undoubted hope of salvation, unfeigned love in everything, unshakable piety, soul and health of the body, satisfaction of everyday needs, and let us not turn the good things given to us from His generous right hand into evil, but for the glory of His holy name and our salvation. Preserve, saint of God, through your intercession with your saints, in the health and long life of our blessed sovereign, Emperor Nikolai Alexandrovich of all Russia, and the entire reigning house, subduing under his nose all enemies and adversaries.
Keep, O reverend wonderworker, the Orthodox Russian country, its reigning cities, your city and your laurel, are unharmed from all evil: and all the people who flock to worship your honorable tomb and stay in your holy monastery, autumn with your heavenly blessing and mercifully deliver me from all evils and troubles. Most of all, at the hour of our death, your many-powerful intercession will be revealed to us, so that through your prayers to the Lord we will be delivered from the power of the cruel ruler of the world and be able to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. Show us, Father, your kindness, and do not leave us orphaned and helpless: let us continually glorify God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, wondrous in our saints, and your holy intercession, forever and ever.
