Having loved Christ from a young age, Venerable Dionysius! With your prayers, let our hearts burn with the sacred love of God and be kindled with the warmth of faith. You, having laid the yoke of the Gospel on this and as if you have found it good and easy, you have patiently completed your path to the end, as the winner of the crown from God has been vouchsafed: help us, then, to courageously bear the heavy burden of this life, and for those who have kept faith to the end, we will be rewarded with a merciful reward from God. Having been a thorough and zealous executor of your calling, help us to carry out our calling relentlessly. Saint Dionysius generously endured many intrigues and sufferings from malicious enemies, and for us, caught in the enemy’s net and falling into various temptations, ask from above for help in rebuking them with your prayers. You, always mortifying your flesh by fasting, prayers and vigil, you have revived your soul and you have made this church of the Life-giving Spirit: teach us to imitate you and create a time for repentance and the forgiveness of our sins.
You were a faithful zealot for the glory of the Church and the Fatherland: intercede now and for the peace of the Church, prosperity for the Fatherland, blessing for our autocratic king, and for this church the omnipotent protection of the Lord, may we glorify the Lord who glorified you now and ever and unto the ages of ages.
