Praise the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
в҃. Let the redeemed by the Lord say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the foe;
And gathered them from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
They wandered through the desert in a waterless path; they found no settled city.
Hungry and thirsty, their souls failed within them.
Then they cried to the Lord when they were oppressed, and he saved them from their afflictions.
And he guided them into a straight path, that they might enter a city of dwelling.
Let men confess the Lord for His goodness and His wondrous works to the sons of men!
For he hath satisfied the hungry soul and filled the faint-hearted with good.
‹. Such as sit in darkness and the shadow of death, bound in affliction and irons;
Because they rebelled against the words of God and provoked the counsel of the Most High:
Therefore He humbled their heart with labors; they fainted, and there was no helper.
Then they cried to the Lord when they were oppressed, and he saved them from their afflictions.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds asunder.
Let men confess the Lord for His goodness and His wondrous works to the sons of men!
For he hath broken the gates of brass and smitten the bars of iron in pieces.
Fools on account of their transgressions, and for their sins, were humbled.
Their souls abhor every kind of food, and they draw near to the gates of death.
Then they cried to the Lord when they were oppressed, and he saved them from their afflictions.
He sent forth his word and healed them, and delivered them from their corruptions.
Let men confess the Lord for His goodness and His wondrous works to the sons of men!
And let them offer sacrifices of praise and declare his works in gladness.
к҃г. They that go down to the sea in ships, trading in deep waters;
These have seen the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the depths.
He spoke, and there arose a stormy wind, which lifted the waves thereof.
They ascend to the heavens, and descend to the depths; their soul is embittered in calamity.
They reel to and fro, stagger like a drunken man, and all their skill is vain.
Then they cried to the Lord when they were in distress, and he delivered them from their afflictions.
He commanded the storm, and it stood in a calm, and the waves ceased.
Then were they glad, for they had been silent, and led them to a harbor of their desire.
Let men confess the Lord for His goodness and His wondrous works to the sons of men!
Let them lift him up in the congregation of the people, and in the seat of the elders let them praise him.
He turneth rivers into a desert, and the watersprings into dry ground.
A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of those dwelling therein.
He turned the wilderness into pools of water, and dry land into springs of water.
And there he established those hungering, and caused a city of dwelling to be built.
And they sowed fields, and planted vineyards, that they might bring forth fruit in abundance.
He blessed them, and they were multiplied greatly; neither did his cattle wax少
And they were diminished and brought low by distress, affliction, and pain.
He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in a waste place, where there is no path.
And he lifted up the poor from poverty, setting them among the flocks of his own pasture.
Let the righteous rejoice and be glad, and every lawlessness shall be shut out from their lips.
Whosoever is wise and keepeth these things, even they shall understand the kindness of the Lord.
Glory:
