Hegumen of the Russian Land, founder of the Trinity Lavra. He blessed the holy Prince Dimitry Donskoy for the Battle of Kulikovo. As a child, St. Sergius had difficulty learning. However, God, through the fervent prayers of the boy and his parents, sent an angel in the guise of an old man, who blessed the boy, and he began to succeed in school science. They pray to St. Sergius for help in teaching, in monastic work, and for the preservation of the Fatherland from the invasion of foreigners.
