Psalm 1 ( Psalm 2 in Church Slavonic)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
neither standeth in the way of sinners,
ni walketh in the sin of strife.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord;
and in His law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither;
ni shall he be like the chaff that is cast out.

In all he doeth shall he prosper.

Not so the ungodly;
but are as chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly hath no portion in the good things of the Lord,
ne in the kingdom of heaven.

But the meek shall inherit the earth;
and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

The Lord knoweth the days of the upright:
that their reward shall be with Him.

But the steps of a wicked man are ordered by iniquity:
but the Lord will bring down his soul into hell.

For evil men shall be held for ever in the cords of their sins.
They shall not live out half their days:
but their calamity shall come suddenly upon them,
and they shall perish in the multitude of their transgressions.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, that the righteous shall inherit the land;
and they that are of a pure heart shall see God.

Yirmós: As Thou wast passing through the wilderness by Thy feet, in the depth of the earth, Thou didst pursue Pharaoh who was drowned, and didst take to Thee a victorious song, crying out.

Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy resurrection glorify us.

Stretched forth Thy hand upon the Cross,
O Sweet Comforter, Thou hast fulfilled Thy good pleasure, O Jesus Christ, King of all.
Therefore, with a victor's song, all have come to Thee.

Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy resurrection glorify us.

Through fear of Thee, O Maiden, death hath been commanded to approach the threshold of life; thereby doth it give us the endless life and resurrection.

Refrain: Having ascended the throne, O Theotokos, save us.

Blessed is the Theotokos: Having received Thy cooperator, as Thou didst will, / from Thy seedless womb, more than a virgin was made to conceive, thou hast shown thyself Lady.
