Blessed and glorified is the Lord God, who called you, our holy father Pitirim, from the first hour of the workman into His grapes, who showed in you unwavering obedience to His will, zeal for the Forerunner and love for Pavlov, and also appointed you as a priest to the Tambov church and bishop You are great and showy. With the grace of the holiness we strengthen and inflame with the fire of the love of Christ, you, our good shepherd, did not give sleep to your eyes, lower slumber, toiling every day, praying and preaching the gospel, unfaithful enlightenment, erring admonishing, raising up the fallen, strengthening the weak, comforting those who mourn, becoming all to everyone, just as Saint Paul was, and saving everyone. When the time of your work in the heliport of the Lord of the House of Christ was fulfilled and you departed from the earthly to the villages above to receive the reward of your labors, let you, saint of God, stand before the throne of the King of Glory from the faces of the saints and from there admonish your flock, for us sinners pray, bear the infirmities of the weak, heal illnesses, quench sorrows.
For this reason, from the day of your blessed dormition, your faith never ceased to flow to you in sorrows and illnesses, and with the touch of your robe, from the water from your well, health and deliverance from all troubles improved. Even now, having come to your whole-bearing tomb, we glorify God, wondrous in His saints, and we magnify and pray to you, most sacred Father: do not depart from us with your love, with your prayers preserve the Orthodox Church unshakable from unbelief and schism, and protect the Russian state from troubles and misfortunes, granting peace and tranquility to it: Protect our most pious, autocratic Emperor Nikolai Alexandrovich from all enemies, protect the Church of the Saints from all enemies, correct the works of their hands, and melt their hearts with zeal for the salvation of the verbal flock entrusted to them, but all of us, in obedience to the saving gospel of Christ, observe the work of salvation, as the only thing needed, impute our help, so that together with you, with one mouth and one heart, we all sing and glorify the Savior Christ with the Father and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
