You appeared as a strong representative of the New Testament, luminous to Michael, and you became known to all faithful Christians as a great champion, delivering them from many misfortunes and rousing them to cry out to you:
Rejoice, new people of the wall;
Rejoice, guardian of the Christ-named tribes.
Rejoice, having strengthened the Apostles many times;
Rejoice, you who gave strength to the passion-bearers.
Rejoice, for you saved Peter from bonds and prison;
Rejoice, for you killed Herod suddenly.
Rejoice, invincible guardian of the church;
Rejoice, heretical double-edged axe.
Rejoice, solid fortification of the monks;
Rejoice, glorious affirmation of the Hierarchs.
Rejoice, through whom faith spreads;
Rejoice, for even error is diminished.
Rejoice, servant of the law.
