You rescued three young men of old from the flames of the cave, Michael the Chief of Officials, and you once appeared in it, splendid, bright-eyed and God-like, so that the tyrant would be horrified by miracles. For this reason I cry out to you:

Rejoice, extinguishing the inextinguishable fire;

Rejoice, end of the ever-living flame.

Rejoice, liberation of virgin youths;

Rejoice, preservation of immaculate bodies.

Rejoice, for you have terrified the tyrant with your vision;

Rejoice, for you strengthened the youth Daniel.

Rejoice, delightful prophet Habakkuk;

Rejoice, you brought it to Babylon soon.

Rejoice, strong Gideon in victory;

Rejoice, glorious defeat of Midian.

Rejoice, by whom kings are strengthened;

Rejoice, even as tyrants are overthrown.

Rejoice, servant of the law.
